St Micheal’s Mount is the Cornish counterpart of Mont St Michel in Normandy. Largely owned by the National Trust since 1954, the St Aubyn family retained a 999 year lease to inhabit the castle.

I’ve photographed the Mount from the beach at Marazion but I’ve never actually been across the causeway. I don’t think I’d be able to get around over there so I’m always happy to see images like this one. Thanks Lynne! 🙂
