I have an affinity for stone that comes from I know not where – solid, enduring, strong, ancient, often colourful, often beautiful in abstract form, and useful. I have many photos of stone but these are the ones I selected for Ailsa’s travel theme: stone
Mill stones at Carew Castle, Wales
Lichen covered stone wall in Cornwall England
Gate and stone wall in Lehon France
My garden
Outbuildings at Château de Combourg France
Newgale Beach Wales
Menhir at Dol De Bretagne, France
Andes Mountains Chile
St Michael’s Mount, Cornwall England
Village of St Enimie, France
It’s really hard not to like these, Lynne! 🙂

What an amazing collection of photos! I never have heard of that huge boulder in France !

It’s similar to the stones of Stonehenge in England – there are a number of ‘standing stones’ in Brittany in particular, which is where that photo was taken.
