A Grand Lady

I’ve been thinking of this lady lately.  She is my grandmother, long since passed away.  Through anecdotes she told me, by watching her face and the expressions that transformed her from old to young, from alone to in love, from sadness to a twinkle in her eye, I came to know her as a strong, resilient woman who had experienced much, loved well, lost plenty and lived to tell the tales with grace and humour.
