Photo Editing: One Photo Focus June

Stacy hosts One Photo Focus at Visual Venturing.  We all work from the same photo and Stacy displays the myriad of approaches that result.  This is the image she provided – one photo focus June

Apparently it is the house used in Mork and Mindy, for those of us that remember the show where Robin Williams got his start.  I was stumped at first with what approach to take so I started playing.  I ended up with a folkart-ish  rendition, kind of in keeping with the idea that Mork and Mindy has gone down in the annals of TV lore, if anyone follows that line of thought 😉    The result is that I have no record of all the things I tried and undid and clicked on and tweaked.  So not much help in the how-to department.    I did start with a line draw rendering of it produced in PS Elements and moved on to HD and edges and a plug-in to smooth it out and I’m not sure what all else.  Below that is a second rendering, this in keeping with Williams’ somewhat warped view of reality.    Nanoo Nanoo, signing off. one photo focus June linedraw folk art

  1. Hahaha! Definitely had to laugh at the “have no idea what I pushed, pulled, tweaked,” Lynne 🙂 When you’re in the flow, you’ve just got to let it happen! While I like the effects of the first image, I am really wowed by the warped version – true to “Mork” and not an effect seen often, it works really well with the idea behind this image! Fun, fun, fun! Thanks for taking part in the celebration!
