“Suddenly, I became conscious of the fact that the driver was in the act of pulling up the horses in the courtyard of a vast ruined castle, from whose tall black windows came no ray of light, and whose broken battlements showed a jagged line against the sky.” – Bram Stoker, author of Dracula

It is one i had overlooked because the sky had been washed out. When I got it into Sagelight and saw that sky it turned into a keeper.

This looks interesting…I have seen many of the Welsh castles, but not this one.

It has a beautiful setting by a small lake and, as you can see, our day framed it in delicious clouds. It’s in the southwest, towards Tenby.

Your photo says a lot about the Wales I’ve experienced – gloomy, grey rain clouds gathering. They must have lovely sunny days but I always seem to miss them!

Despite the look of those clouds we didn’t get any rain that day – we had a wonderful sunny week.
