The Lightest Touch

“To be able to feel the lightest touch really is a gift.”  – Christopher Reeve

bird chickadee in hand

This little fellow flew into our window last week as we ate breakfast. I retrieved him from where he had landed head first in the snow, his little chickadee bottom sticking up.  In about five minutes he was on his way and I had a great start to my day.

    1. Hi Stephen. Saving chick made my day, and the Reeve quote is a touching one especially considering his circumstances. So many things to be grateful for – things we just don’t think about.

  1. ‘Touching’ shot. I had a small finch crash into my window this morning too. He/she had a harder landing than snow, paving, but after 5-10 minutes took off again. They do survive what appears to be neck breaking crashes!
