The Cure

“The cure for anything is saltwater – sweat, tears or the sea.”
– Karen Blixen, pen name: Isak Dinesen

I am mesmerized by the sea,

South Atlanticthe waves that roll unceasingly,

waves on shorethe breeze in my face and the salt on my tongue,

Blowing Surf at Porthluney Cove, Cornwallits unyielding power that gives up to no man,

sea crashing on rocksyet when spent lies becalmed in shimmering afternoon light.

    1. I DID see your kind comments, thank you. I like that quote too – I have washed a lot of hurt away with tears, and been reinvigorated by the breath of the sea … sweat, not so much 🙂

  1. Beautiful photographs and a very true quote. There is nothing better than living near any sea, what ever the weather, it is very, very special.

  2. There is something magical about the ocean. The sound of the waves and the smell of the salt water and ocean life have such an amazing affect on the human imagination. You did a wonderful job of capturing that in your photos.

    1. Thank you, Charlie. I have always had the fond wish to live by water but the closest I’ve come is a stream a quarter mile in our woods that runs dry every summer. Not even close enough for a gurgle or a swoosh when it’s running. 😦
