I find street photography intriguing – where before I focused [pun intended 😉 ] on landscapes for my paintings, now I find I want to get into the cities to see what I can capture in urban light and shadow, dirt and grime, architecture, traffic and people. This post focuses [ 🙂 ] on people (mostly), companionable people … except for the last photo they are all strangers to me. Humans and animals alike seem to seek out companionship …
… someone with whom to sit back and observe life’s comings and goings
… to hang out with
… for camaraderie on the job
… to share our coffee breaks
… to protect us
… to make sure we follow the rules
.. someone who believes as we do
… who we can trust to be by our side
… to watch our backs as we walk through life’s puddles
… to discuss things with
…and to relax with
… for comfort when we’re down
… to help when we are lost
… to keep us on the straight and narrow
… and we need travel companions to go with us to capture these shots and to share in our laughter and adventures
This week’s photo challenge is: Companionable
Very nicely done and Iove the captions, Lynne! Sometimes we take it for granted that we will have company in many things we do; or that we forget the companionship we enjoy in times of difficulties. You have put it out through your photos, to remind us to treasure those around us! 🙂
