When I think green, I think Wales. We visited in October and yet the green was as bright and fresh as a day in spring.

Yes, I love the colour of the moss – we sat by the water there and enjoyed the shushing sounds of the waves.

It is lovely, pastoral, with interesting old port towns, old castles, and it’s very green … oh, and some great pubs 😉

Wouldn’t that be a wonderful way to travel … no cramped seating with the back of the seat in front of you in your lap and no place for your feet because the carry-on of the stranger beside you whose thigh is touching yours couldn’t fit his over-size bag in the over-head bin and it has slipped into your space causing a cramp in your leg ….

The pastoral countryside was so GREEN … gentle rolling hills … it was all quite calming … except for the ever-twisting, rolling, roads with blind curves and no wiggle room and signs like, “Oncoming traffic in the middle of the road”. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

Thank you, Gilly – that was one of my first pastels and I was encouraged. I haven’t been in my studio all summer … I’ve been blogging … but non-blogging writing too – one only has so much creativity (and time) to go around.

I’m so sad I didn’t see more of Wales. I was so looking forward to it. Lovely photo

Always so much to see on these trips – right Charlene. One has to pick and choose and it’s difficult.

Wales in October was a bit of a surprise I must say – and it seemed that we got the only week of sun they had for a while.

I always hear Tom Jones’ voice – Down the lane I walk with my sweet Mary, hair of gold and lips like cherries. It’s good to touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they’ll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly. It’s good to touch the green, green grass of home. 😉
