I remember taking trips to Mexico when the kids were little, seeing the shacks built of grapestakes and plastic or whatever else was readily available for no cost – then I see the House Hunters on HGTV and young American couples insisting on granite countertops and stainless steel appliances – makes me think it’s time for a reality check.
