Sunday Post from Jake’s Printer
Jake has informed me that these are not actually blossoms – I did not know this distinction. Additionally, it is a bit, actually, a lot, too early for those of us in the northern climes to be able to produce photos of this year’s blossoms and blooms. So they are not blossoms and they are not this year’s, but they are from my garden.

Beautifully nevertheless! You are truly multi talented!

The asters that year were particularly spectacular.

Absolutely wonderful shades of purple in the first one, and I love the criss-crossing of the petals in the centre.

These asters were absolutely huge – they were planted in a composted area and, compost works!

Well, if I understood Jake correctly, blossom is more specifically a term for the flowers on fruit trees as opposed to the asters and rudbekias I have here … you can link to Jake’s page by clicking on the link at the top of my post.

I was in the same position. Here in Spokane, WA. spring is slow to arrive with very little in the “bloosom” category. Love the Aster image and would have liked to see a little more of the yellow center.

Now that you say that, I see should have rearranged the petals ever so slightly.
