Just Doors 2

Doors stand guard to what transpires within.

I realize that just doors may not be everyone’s ‘thing’ but they are a frequent subject for me and my camera.  After visiting Adrian Pym’s  site and reading  Mike’s Look at Life I decided it was time for another photo essay on Doors. My first doors post is here.

  1. Beautiful! I am reminded of the fiction-writing class I took on the Hero’s Journey, where we were encouraged to note any sort of doorway as a threshold for change–moving from one place to the next.

    1. At first it was just that so many of the doors I was seeing on our trip were so beautiful I simply started taking pictures. But perhaps the fascination because of the metaphor – the doorways we need to pass through to change, the doors we need to look behind to see what lurks there, the doors we’d rather keep closed …
